Flight refund information
Information on refunds for all possible situations

Flight cancellation
A flight cancellation occurs when a flight originally scheduled by the airline is later cancelled.
If you’re affected by a flight cancellation
- Go to the airline’s desk and ask for rebooking; that is, request to be placed on an alternative flight to your final destination, departing as soon as possible or according to your travel needs.
- Request meals and refreshments appropriate to the length of the delay.
- Request hotel accommodation if one or more overnight stays are necessary, or if an additional stay beyond your original plans is required.
- Request transportation between the airport and the hotel.
- Request the possibility to make two free phone calls, or send faxes or emails.
- Keep your full booking details and, most importantly, all boarding passes: both from the cancelled flight and the new one you’ve been rebooked on!
- As soon as you return home, fill out the form on our website to request and obtain your financial compensation!
Flight disruptions: what to do
Flight refund requests can arise from various situations.
When dealing with issues such as cancellations, overbookings, flight delays, or baggage problems, it’s often hard to know how to proceed in order to get the right refund as quickly as possible. Flight delay
A flight delay is undoubtedly one of the most common inconveniences for travelers. A ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union established that passengers are entitled to compensation for delays of more than 3 hours, just as they are in cases of flight cancellation or overbooking.
If you are affected by a prolonged delay (over 3 hours)
- Go to the airline’s desk and ask for assistance and information regarding the delay and its expected duration.
- Request meals and refreshments appropriate to the length of the wait.
- Request the possibility to make two free phone calls or send faxes or emails.
- Keep your full travel booking and all boarding passes.
- Once rebooked and back home, fill out the form on our website to request and obtain your flight refund!

Delayed baggage delivery
A delay in the delivery of checked baggage is unfortunately a very common issue. It often happens that the airline is responsible for a baggage delay that causes the passenger much more than just a simple inconvenience.
If your baggage is not returned upon arrival at your destination:
- Go immediately to the Lost & Found desk of the airline you flew with and fill out the Property Irregularity Report (P.I.R.);
- If necessary, purchase essential items and clothing, and keep all receipts;
- Keep your full travel booking, boarding passes, and of course, the baggage claim tag and the P.I.R. (report filed at the Lost & Found desk);
- When the baggage is returned, don’t forget to request a written confirmation of the delivery;
- Within 21 days of receiving your baggage, fill out our form and we’ll help you obtain compensation for the delayed delivery as well as reimbursement for all documented expenses incurred.
Overbooking
Flight overbooking occurs when, despite having a valid booking and ticket, a passenger is denied boarding due to overbooking or lack of available seats, for reasons solely attributable to the airline.
If you are affected by overbooking:
- Go to the airline’s desk and request rebooking; ask to be placed on an alternative flight to your final destination, departing as soon as possible or in line with your travel needs.
- Request meals and refreshments appropriate to the length of the wait;
- Request hotel accommodation if one or more overnight stays are required, or if an extended stay beyond your original plans becomes necessary;
- Request transportation between the airport and the hotel;
- Request the possibility to make two free phone calls or send faxes or emails;
- Keep your full booking details, and most importantly, all boarding passes: from the cancelled flight and the new flight you’ve been rebooked on;
- As soon as you get home, fill out the form on our website to request and obtain your financial compensation!

Lost baggage
After 21 days from the flight date, if your baggage has not been returned, it is officially considered lost. In the event of lost baggage, the airline is responsible for the damage caused, and the passenger is entitled to compensation based on the declared value of the items inside.
- Go immediately to the Lost & Found desk of your airline and fill out the Property Irregularity Report (P.I.R.);
- If necessary, purchase essential items and clothing, and keep all receipts;
- Keep your full travel booking and boarding passes, as well as the baggage claim tag and the P.I.R. (report filed at the Lost & Found desk);
- If 21 days have passed since your flight and your baggage has not been returned, fill out our form and we will help you claim the maximum amount allowed by current regulations as compensation for the lost baggage and/or reimbursement of all documented expenses incurred.
